Four years ago, we started a collaboration with the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense (MoD). What began with the delivery of RAPID inflatable tents has grown into something we're genuinely proud of. We now have 1,300 tents and 40 clear span hangars supporting Lithuanian soldiers in the field.
Our journey with the Lithuanian MoD has been quite something. From those first RAPID Type tents, to custom clear span hangars, and now the latest delivery of SG aluminum type tents, each step has taught us more about what defense missions really demand.
Inflatable Solutions
In 2021, when Lithuanian soldiers needed shelters that could deploy rapidly and withstand harsh conditions, we delivered 200 heavy duty high pressure inflatable shelters RAPID 6-400. The following year, we expanded the deployment with 90 heavy duty high pressure inflatable shelters RAPID 5-300, and built out a complete system including rigid floor, air compressors, lighting and heating equipment, maintenance and repair kits, and connecting modules that enable flexible tent configurations.
Then in 2023, we were faced with an engineering challenge: an inflatable AZM repair hangar that needed to maintain 61°F internally while facing -86°F outside. Our team delivered a shelter that could do that and more: wind-resistant up to ~50 miles/h, waterproof, and capable of handling 5.12 lb/ft2 snow loads.
Classic Aluminum Tents & Customized Clear Span Hangars
Between 2023 and 2025, LANCO also provided over 40 clear span hangars and over 1,000 SG aluminum frame tents in various configurations. The classic aluminum tents are equipped with connecting modules, lighting systems, HVAC equipment, and rigid flooring.
The clear span hangars were customized to meet the MoD's operational requirements, delivering both comfort and practicality. All hangars are equipped with fully insulated systems, lighting systems, HVAC equipment, and rigid flooring.
Across the deployment, 10 hangars were installed in military bases and an additional 10 were positioned in dedicated military camps.
But here's what really matters: with every delivery, we've trained soldiers on-site. Because a shelter is only as good as the people who can deploy it when it counts.
Driven by our Customer’s Feedback
Throughout this journey, our colleague, Claudio Mariottini, has been regularly visiting the Army headquarters, sitting down with the soldiers who use our shelters daily. Their feedback shaped the following SG and clear span hangars we've provided across various dimensions.
Today, 1,300 tents and 40 hangars later, we're marking this milestone as a foundation. The Lithuanian Army has taught us that true partnership means showing up, listening, and delivering solutions that work when lives depend on them.
